INFORMATION: THE SPECIFICS OF GOD’S PROMISES
God’s Perfect Track Record
2 Peter 1:3-4 (NLT) – “By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These promises make it possible for you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.”
Matthew 6:33 (NLT) – “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
Philippians 4:19 (NLT) – “And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.”
INSPIRATION: PROMISES AS STRATEGIC POSITIONING
For Your Everyday Ministry
1 Corinthians 15:58 (NLT) – “So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”
For Provision and Resources
Luke 6:38 (NLT) – “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”
MOTIVATION: ACTIVATING PROMISE-BASED HOPE
Hebrews 10:23 (NLT) – “Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.”
What happens when you make this shift:
1. Your Prayer Life Gets Targeted
Matthew 7:7-8 (NLT) – “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
2. Your Decisions Get Strategic
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
3. Your Actions Get Confident
Deuteronomy 31:6 (NLT) – “So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
TRANSFORMATION: YOUR PROMISE PORTFOLIO FOR 2026
Building Your Promise Portfolio
2 Corinthians 1:20 (NLT) – “For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding ‘Yes!’ And through Christ, our ‘Amen’ (which means ‘Yes’) ascends to God for his glory.”
Your New Approach
1. Identify Your Promise Categories
Psalm 119:49-50 (NLT) – “Remember your promise to me; it is my only hope. Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles.”
2. Research God’s Commitments
Psalm 119:11 (NLT) – “I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”
3. Create Promise Declarations
Psalm 27:1 (NLT) – “The Lord is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?”
4. Position Yourself For Partnership
Hebrews 11:6 (NLT) – “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.”
Moving Forward With Promises
Isaiah 43:19 (NLT) – “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”
Ephesians 3:20-21 (NLT) – “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.”
