The Forever Family
Living in light of our eternal family changes how we live in our earthly families today.
I. The Wedding Feast – The Church as Bride
Revelation 19:7-9 (NLT): 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and let us give honor to him. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself. 8 She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear.” For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God’s holy people. 9 And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.” And he added, “These are true words that come from God.”
- Our ultimate family celebration with Christ
- We prepare ourselves, and God clothes us in righteousness
- Promise: God will wipe every tear, and we will be with Him forever (Rev. 21:3-4)
Revelation 21:3-4: 3 I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them.
4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”

II. Every Tribe and Nation – The Global Family
Revelation 7:9 (NLT): “A vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language…”
9 After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands.
- God’s family includes all nations and peoples
- In heaven, diversity becomes united worship
- Today, we live with that eternal perspective—welcoming and reaching others

III. No More Tears – The Perfect Reunion
Revelation 21:4 (NLT): “He will wipe every tear… there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain.”
4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.
- A new creation: perfect home, perfect family
- God’s presence with His people forever
- Every source of pain, loss, and separation gone
